Home Dreams Come True for Cindy Brush

For some, purchasing a home can feel overwhelming. But what about purchasing two in a matter months?
 
That’s what Cindy Brush wanted to do with her two children, Mike and Caity (pictured above with her husband Elijah), who were looking to become homeowners in the Twin Cities. At first, Cindy tried to work with the builder of the sub-division to finance the home purchases. 
 
“Trying to work with the builder was honestly stressful and difficult,” shared Cindy. “That’s when I knew I needed work with my hometown bank, Merchants Bank, and Dawn Garms, instead.”
 
As work progressed on the sub-division, Cindy, Mike and Caity worked through the mortgage process with Dawn together. Caity’s mortgage came first as the construction of a home in the sub-division was nearing completion. Then Mike’s purchase happened after that as he was buying the model home in the sub-division. Everything came together in a matter of five months.
 
“Dawn helped us understand everything we needed to do and documents we needed to provide. She truly made the loan process pleasant and that’s exactly what I like about working with her.”
 
Much of the paperwork could even be done remotely because of the technology offered by the Bank. With multiple parties involved in the loans, having the option to work with digital documents made things easier for everyone. “I could do everything from my living room,” Cindy explains. “And if I had any questions, I just picked up the phone to call Dawn. She never made me wait for an answer.”
 
Now that they’re all moved in, Cindy loves how the close proximity of their homes make it perfect for her to visit. “I can see both of them within minutes of each other and we can all be together. It’s absolutely wonderful.”
