10 Days of Giving

We are proud to be able to give back to our community, and humbled by the generosity of our customers and the communities who make the 10 Days of Giving drive so successful. 

More than 4 Million Pounds of Food Collected Since 1989

Merchants Bank locations in Cottage Grove, Hastings, Rochester, Rosemount, St. Charles and Winona are coordinating the 10 Days of Giving from December 1-10. Join us this holiday season in an effort to make sure no one goes hungry in our communities.

Cottage Grove

The drive benefits the Friends in Need Food Shelf and Open Cupboard (formerly known as CCEFS). Monetary donations or donations of food or toiletry items can be dropped off at the Bank lobby or the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train stop in Cottage Grove (details below). If you can't make it in person, monetary donations can also be mailed directly to the Cottage Grove branch

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train
When: Monday, December 12 at 5:00 p.m.
Where: West Point Douglas Road, South of Seiben Bridge, in front of the Youth Service Bureau

The food drive benefits Hastings Family Service. Monetary donations or non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the Bank lobby or the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train stop in Hastings (details below). If you can't make it in person, monetary donations can also be mailed directly to the Hastings branch. Checks can be made payable to "10 Days of Giving."

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train
When: Sunday, December 11 at 8: 00 p.m.
Where: CP Depot

Rochester

The food drive benefits the Channel One Regional Food Bank. Monetary donations can be dropped off or mailed to the Rochester-Green Meadows or Rochester-Northwest branches. Checks can be made payable to "10 Days of Giving."

Rosemount

The drive benefits 360 Communities-Rosemount Family Resource Center. Monetary donations or donations of food or toiletry items can be dropped off at the Bank lobby. If you can't make it in person, monetary donations can also be:

  • Made online at the 360 Communities website. Please add a note/comment that says "10 Days of Giving"
  • Mailed directly to the Rosemount branch. Checks can be made payable to "Rosemount Family Resource Center."

Winona

Winona’s 34th food drive benefits the food shelf at Winona Volunteer Services. To date, over 4 million pounds of food have been collected, with each dollar being counted as two pounds of food. Monetary donations or non-perishable food items can be dropped off at any Winona Bank lobby, participating locations or at an upcoming special event. We'd also like to thank local businesses and organizations for contributing to the 2022 effort.

12/1: Steak Shop Catering Red Trailer Luncheon
When: Thursday, December 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Merchants Bank - Downtown Parking Lot

Join us for a taco salad or a pulled pork sandwich meal. Cash, debit or credit accepted. Cost is $8.00.


12/2: Fish Fry Dinner
When: Friday, December 2 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Where: Winona Eagles Club | 210 East 4th Street

Enjoy a fish dinner for only $15. Get your choice of batter-fried or broiled cod, choice of baked potato or fries, coleslaw, and dinner roll. Dine in or carry out. Advanced tickets at Merchants Bank-Downtown Winona. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the night of the event. (In the event of a cancellation, the back-up date will be 12/9.) *Menu subject to change*


12/3: Peter’s Biergarten Presents An Evening with Santa Featuring Patti Darbo & Stacy Hughes
When: Saturday, December 13 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
Where: Peter’s Biergarten | 54 East 3rd Street

Stop by for s’mores by the fire, a picture with Santa and special musical guests, Patti Darbo & Stacy Hughes. Admission is the gift of non-perishable food items or a monetary donation.


12/4: Apps & Taps
When: Sunday, December 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: Port 507 | 128 West 2nd Street 

Cheer on the Vikings while enjoying drink specials made by our celebrity bartenders and appetizers provided by Backwater BBQ! Admission is the gift of non-perishable food items or a monetary donation.

12/4: Holiday Concert for the Hungry
When: Sunday, December 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Where: WSU DuFresne Performing Arts Center | 175 West Mark Street

Enjoy the annual holiday concert performed by the WSU Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Admission is the gift of non-perishable food items or a monetary donation.


12/6: Beno's Deli 10% Day
When: Tuesday, December 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: Beno's Deli | 78 East 4th Street

10% of all sales will be donated to the 10 Days of Giving on Tuesday, December 6.


12/11: Canadian Pacific Holiday Train
When: Sunday, December 11 at 3:30 p.m.
Where: Winona Amtrak Station | 65 East Mark St

Enjoy the sights and entertainment of the Canadian Pacific Railway Lighted Holiday Train. Refreshments, cookies and candy canes will be served by Merchants Bank. Please bring gifts of non-perishable food items or a monetary donation.
